Increased responsibilities being given to three of our young home-grown programmers, Raf, Pete and Sarah.  They are the ones who will be driving Inal 2020 forward into the future and their readiness to take these on and the challenges that come with them speak volume for their character. We wish them every success.

Fantastic for Inal 2020 to be nearing yet another installation of yet another series of cooling panels coming to an underground station near you.  A great example of complex extrusions, formed to their limit,  welded together and housed in a frame with fans attached.  Inal 2020 proud to be working with TFL

Michael Horan, great to have the new CEO of the Sherwood Group on site today for his inaugural visit to Manchester. Michael comes with a wealth of experience from the metals industry and will be a key appointment in our quest for growth and continued success across all areas of the group, we wish him well.

Fantastic night for Inal 2020 and Sherwood at the Aluminium Federation annual dinner in Tortworth last night. Setting the style standard from left to right were James Hughes, Ed Neville, Frank Power, MD Terry Franklin, Paul Grimsley and Luke Rogers. No more just mixing it with the industry movers and shakers, one of the movers and shakers. Great entertainment provided by the voice of Spitting Image Jon Culshaw rounding off the perfect evening.

Great to see the site improvements at Inal 2020 gaining traction…the reception now with all new lighting, flooring, blinds and complete re-decoration awaits arrival of some new furniture only.  Something else we can all be proud of.

After the recent success of Sherwood’s fast-tracked ISO 140001 accreditation, we have today at Inal 2020 engaged an external body to assess us in securing the same.  This will be driven by Paul Walker Quality at Inal under the stewardship of Helen Shotton, affectionately known as “Q,” Quality Manager at Wolverhampton. Completion is expected first quarter 2022.

A true doodle to delivery plus installation ground-breaking project from Inal 2020. Not just supplying the extrusions, but forming, machining, welding into panels, hydrostatic testing, installing fittings, building a uni-strut frame to house them in, then attaching fans and fully installing on a site somewhere in the south east; taking supplying extrusions to a new level! Fantastic effort from everyone involved and the great news is this is just the start.

Teddy rocking the high vis

Welcome to the Inal team Teddy Ngulube! It’s always good when someone starts as a temporary worker and through their own diligence and effort make it to a full-time position.  Teddy ticked all the boxes bar one, but by the time we found out he was a Man Utd supported it was already too late, we need to tighten these filters.  Great to have you Teddy and we wish you every success in the new role.

More investment again this month at Inal 2020, not content with one new Hass Machining centre we commissioned a second one at the same time. Not quite by one get one free but nevertheless another indication of our commitment and optimism as 2021 approaches. Also arriving in the next few days is a new mitre saw which further underpins our general fabrication side..it’s not just about the high precision stuff

Great to have Lee Usher join us this week on the quality side.  Lee has a long history in high end aerospace engineering and will be key in driving improvements across all areas.  Ex ball room dancer Lee didn’t so much hit the ground running but hit it with a forward lock double reverse spin, progressive side-step reverse turn and a closed impetus feather return, discussing “Strictly” on a Monday will never be quite the same.  With kids and grandkids Lee is a qualified Ju Jitsu instructor which helps keep them all in line.  It’s great to have him on board.
