In this most challenging of years, it is a testament to the resilience of our team that we’ve been able to welcome another addition to the Inal 2020 machining portfolio this week.

The arrival of the new Comet T6 horizontal machining centre further complements on-site machining and means we can continue to go further for customers working in key covid-facing sectors.

It looked like a tight fit going in, but with a little bit of “to me to you, to me to you” we got there in the end.

Get in touch to discuss your upcoming extrusion projects.

We’re especially keen to help UK designers re-shore their machining work and think we have a competitive offer.

Great meeting at Sherwood HQ on Friday when co-owner Paul Thurston played host to local Conservative MP for Wolverhampton North East Jane Stevenson.  The aluminium industry is known for its strong political lobby and it was great seeing Jane on site experiencing at first hand an outstanding Wolverhampton success story, that for too many years has flown below the radar.

Many current and future challenges facing us were touched upon and as Paul commented “ going forward without doubt the importance of the connection made with Jane will manifest itself in the months and years to come”

Fresh after confirming the purchase of the Inal (2020) Manchester site, Paul Thurston and Terry Franklin announce a further capital spend north of £300k.  This covers additional CNC and sawing equipment and will enable us to retain our position at the forefront of aluminium processing in the UK. “it is another indication of the confidence across both of our sites” said a delighted Paul making the announcement earlier this week. More information to follow.

There can be no better way to celebrate Valentines Day in our industry than with our extruded aluminium heart. Happy Valentines day to everyone from all of us at Inal (2020) Ltd
